Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what data Loothound collects, why, and how it is handled. By using Loothound you agree to this Policy.

1. Data we collect

• Discord identifiers — your Discord user ID, and the server (guild) and channel IDs where you use the bot.
• Game & account data — balances, inventory, stats, cooldowns, quests, your companion, and a ledger of processed purchases, all tied to your Discord user ID.
• Command content — to support prefix commands, the bot reads message content only to detect and parse its own commands; your message text is not stored or logged.
• Payment data — for crypto purchases we process on-chain transaction details (amount, transaction hash, and the wallet involved). We never receive or store your card details or private keys.

2. How we use data

We use this data solely to operate the game — to save your progress, run features, deliver purchases, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. Service providers

We rely on a few providers to run Loothound:

• Discord — the platform the bot operates on, subject to Discord’s own Privacy Policy.
• Database & hosting — your game data is stored in a managed database and the bot runs on a cloud host.
• Blockchain node provider — used to verify crypto payments; transactions also exist on public blockchains.

4. Data retention

We retain your game data only for as long as needed to provide the service. If you stop using Loothound or ask us to delete your data, your account record is removed — except for limited information we may need to keep to prevent fraud or comply with a legal obligation.

5. Your rights & data requests

You may request a copy of, or the deletion of, the data associated with your Discord user ID at any time — contact us at support@loothound.xyz or through our support server, and we will action verified requests within 30 days. You can also stop all further data collection by removing the bot from your servers and no longer using its commands.

6. Children

Loothound is not directed to children under 13 — or the minimum age Discord requires in your country — and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time; material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
